CEP 820 - Teaching K12 Students Online
L. WOLF, M. Hagerman, S. Beauchamp-Hicks
Examine ways in which K-12 teachers can bring the world into their classrooms with technology to better meet the educational needs of students.
COURSEWORK
Online Course Engineering Beginnings 101 - Engineer Beginnings 101, was designed so that every student entering this class will leave with a confidence of knowing the Engineer in them. We will have a real life engineer setting where you will have a cube life (your own website to maintain), you will have team projects, individual projects, and some red projects to help you develop your multitasking skills. I will be the manager and you each will be divided into departments (your team). Your departments will have a blog on the company's page (Engineer Beginnings 101) where you will converse and if you choose other forms of communication such as Skype you will have to copy the transcript to your blog. Each student in addition to the company's page will create and maintain their cubes. This is where projects will be turned in and checked.
